That is why we created and designed every detail of this hat ourselves.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cspan\u003eKurdish Symbols\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOne of the special parts of this Fês is the coins and symbols used on the hat.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTraditional Kurdish hats have sometimes included Ottoman or Pahlavi coins and symbols. For our design, we decided not to use those symbols. Because of they history and the important of situation for us Kurdish People , that no meaning we use occupies symbols  with our Kurdish Dress, Instead, we created our own designs inspired by Kurdish culture, including \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eShamaran, the mountains of Kurdistan, and the Kurdish sun\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eA coin with one side is Kurdistan 4 mountains and sun\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eand another side is Shamaran Symbol.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHandmade Perçkê — پرچکە\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOne of the most important parts of this Fês is the \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePerçkê (پرچکە)\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e around the hat.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Perçkê is made from very small metal beads, around 1.5–2 mm, made from alloy and copper with a gold-plated finish.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe source the beads and then send them to our team in \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHawraman, Rojhilat\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, where Kurdish women make the Perçkê by hand. This is not a machine-made part. It takes time, patience, and skill to make.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn Hawraman, the Perçkê has traditionally been an important part of women's Kurdish headwear.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFês and Perçkê (فێس و پرچکە)\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e were also once considered rare and valuable. In the 1980s, they were not easy to find and were expensive for many families. In some families, they were bought for important occasions, especially when a son was getting married. Because of this, the Fês and Perçkê were often associated with families who could afford them.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe wanted to bring this old tradition back in a new way while keeping the handmade character of the original.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSar Perçam — سەر پەرچەم\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe hat also comes with \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSar Perçam\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, in two different sizes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe larger piece goes over the hat, while the smaller piece has two hooks and is worn underneath the neck. It includes turquoise stones and a handmade line of turquoise beads.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese details are inspired by the traditional Kurdish headwear worn by women and our grandmothers in Hawraman.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cspan\u003eShamaran Details\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThere are also \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e10 hanging beads with Shamaran-inspired coins\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, with five on each side of the hat.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTogether with the Perçkê, Sar Perçam, turquoise beads, coins, and other small details, they give the Fês its traditional and distinctive look.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cspan\u003eComfortable to Wear\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe frame of the hat is made from \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003esoft black velvet\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.
