How do I choose the correct size?

Choosing a size can sometimes be confusing because sizes (S, M, L, etc.) are different in every dress. Don’t worry — we will help you.

When you place your order, please send us these 3 measurements:

  • Your height (measured from heel to head, without shoes)

  • Your waist size

  • Your bust (breast) size

These are the most important measurements. Using this information, we prepare and send the dress in the most suitable size for you — even if the size you selected may differ between models.

There is also an extra note section where you can share any other helpful information (for example: preferred length, fit, high heels, delivery time or anything important about the dress).

We carefully review all details. If we need more information, we will contact you. Our goal is to prepare the best possible fit for you.

Are your sizes big or small?

Our Kurdish dresses are true to size.
We base our sizing on well-known European and international size standards, and then carefully adjust them to fit traditional Kurdish dress designs with our professional master tailors and designers.

Because Kurdish dresses are different from regular dresses (especially in length and waist style), we always review each order to choose the most suitable fit for you.

Why do you ask for measurements?

Kurdish dresses are not the same as modern everyday dresses.
The upper body can be standard size, but the waist and dress length are different.

For this reason, we check your height, waist, and bust measurements and adjust your order to make sure it fits you as comfortably and beautifully as possible.

How are your dresses tailored?

Our dresses are made by experienced Kurdish tailors in Kurdistan.
Each dress is carefully prepared — from fabric selection and design to tailoring and packing.

What happens after I place an order?

After your order:

  1. We check the measurements and selected size

  2. We prepare the best available fit from our warehouse

  3. If we need more information, we contact you directly

Neckline & Fit Information

Some customers ask if we can change the neckline, chest opening, or other parts of the dress after ordering.
We would like to kindly clarify:

  • Our garments are already pre-made before shipping. Because of this, we are generally not able to change or re-sew the neckline or chest opening.

  • The neckline is a sensitive part of the dress and altering it may damage the design and structure, so we cannot customize it for each order.

    • This also applies to customers who wear hijab — the neckline is fixed and cannot be edited before sending.

  • Please note that the neckline is designed to be modest: it is not very open and not very tight.
    However, the fit can look different from person to person depending on shoulder width, bust size, and body shape.

    In rare or exceptional cases, if we already have another suitable piece available, we will of course do our best to help.

    For customers who would like a slightly smaller opening, we can send guidance photos showing a simple and safe way to adjust it gently at home.

     

Why Our Kurdish Dresses Are Sold Without Underlayers 

We place great emphasis on fabric colors, matching, and quality. For some Kurdish sets, we use satin silk, a non-transparent fabric, allowing you to pair it with your own preferred underwear. However, for other Kurdish sets that incorporate chiffon—a sheer fabric—it’s essential to match the underwear color with the chiffon for a cohesive look.

In these cases, our Kurdish sets include three parts: the kawa (jacket), kiras (dress), and a long matching underlayer. This ensures both style and comfort for most of our Kurdish dress sets.

Most of our Kurdish dresses are made from high-quality silk satin material, which is not transparent. Our products and Kurdish dress sets include only the main parts of the outfit, reflecting our commitment to keeping costs affordable for our customers and minimizing unnecessary production to support environmental sustainability.

The fabric is designed to be thick enough, but pairing it with your own underwear enhances both comfort and appearance. The choice of color or style for the undergarments is entirely up to you—any option works beautifully with this dress.

By offering the dress without additional layers, we ensure affordability and promote eco-friendly practices, while giving you the flexibility to style it with your preferred undergarments.

Length, Custom Orders & Sizing

  • Our dresses are already pre-made and Ready to wear before shipping. The length cannot be specially produced shorter on request. Most of our dresses are long, and in some cases they may even be longer, but they will not be short.

  • If we agree to produce or adjust a dress specially according to your personal request (custom order), a service fee of €20–€40 may apply depending on the fabric, details, and work required. Please note that customized items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

  • Size & Length Explanation

    • Size refers to the fit of the dress around the body: chest, arms, shoulders, and waist.

    • Length Information

      Length refers to the full length of the dress from shoulder to hem. The dress may sometimes be slightly longer (about 5–10 cm, even when wearing high heels_ you write for us your length head to foot, without shoes), but we never send a short dress. Traditional Kurdish dresses are designed to be worn with shoes or high heels, so they are intentionally made long.

      We always try our best to match your order with the most suitable length available in our warehouse. However, in some cases we may only have one length left in your selected size.

       

      Do You Offer Size Customization?

      All Kurdish dresses are ready-made, and we stock all sizes. Share your size (XS, S, M, L, XL), height, and weight during checkout, and we’ll send the best fit. If further measurements are needed, we’ll contact you directly.

       

       

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. You may cancel your order as long as it has not yet been shipped from our warehouse. Please contact us as soon as possible and include your order number so we can stop the shipment in time.

  • How long does it take to get the product? inside Sweden 2 to 3 days . Out of sweden from 7 to 1o days, depends and destination country. 
  • Where can I write down the product size? when you select your product, there is several tabs you can write down weight, length and size and BRA size. This is only when you order a ready dress, for textile you only need how many centimeter of the textile to be ordered.

Q: I'm located outside Sweden, and I can't see any updates on my order from PostNord. How can I track my package?

A: If you're outside Sweden, PostNord might not provide detailed tracking until the package crosses Sweden's borders. However, you can still track your order using the following steps:

1. Copy the Tracking Number: Locate the tracking number provided in your order confirmation email or on our website.

2. Visit Your Local Post Website: Go to the official website of your local postal service.

3. Paste the Tracking Number: Find the tracking or shipment section on your local postal service's website. Paste the tracking number in the search bar provided.

4. Check for Updates:Your local postal service should provide real-time updates on the status and location of your package within your country.



Q: Why is there a delay in tracking updates from PostNord?

A: PostNord may not provide detailed tracking updates until your package crosses Sweden's borders. Rest assured, your package is still in transit, and you can track it using your local postal service's website by following the steps mentioned above. If you have any concerns, feel free to contact our customer support for assistance.

Q:Where is my Package?

A: When you receive tracking information from us via Etsy, we suggest following these steps to track your order:

  1. Copy the tracking information.
  2. Paste this information on your country's postal website.
  3. Use your country's postal website to track your order.

We send our packages via the Swedish post office, PostNord. Your local post office takes over the package when it crosses Swedish borders. This means you may not see detailed tracking information about where your package is exactly and when it will arrive.

If you haven't received your order after 10 days, please contact us.

 

I placed an order but didn’t receive any updates. What should I do?

After you place an order, we carefully prepare and pack each order one by one.

Once your package is shipped, you will automatically receive an email with your tracking number. You can use this link to follow your package during delivery.

If you do not receive a tracking email within 7 days, please contact us by email.
We usually reply within 2–3 hours (European business hours).

You can also track your package directly with UPS in your country using your tracking number.

Returns & Refunds FAQ

Can I Return My Order?

  • Customers in the EU: Returns are accepted if the item is in its original condition, unworn, unwashed, and free of odors or damage. Contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order at info@kewsan.com with your order number and reason for return. The item must be shipped back the next day.
  • Customers Outside the EU (Norway, UK, and Others): Due to customs fees and administrative policies, we cannot accept returns for orders outside the EU. Please double-check sizes and descriptions before purchasing. 

    If the item is returned to Sweden, the parcel will need again import document as passport for the goods,  to be able into the EU. This means we must pay:

    • 25% Swedish import tax

    • customs/import declaration administration fees

    • return shipping costs

    Because of these very high costs and the complicated customs paperwork between two countries ( that are totally out of our hands), we unfortunately cannot accept returns or exchanges for orders shipped outside the EU.


What Are the Rules for Returns?

  • Items must be unused, unwrinkled, and undamaged.
  • Accessories or belts should not damage the dress during fitting.
  • Shipping costs for returns are the customer's responsibility.

How Should I Return My Item?

  • Use a tracked shipping method and email the tracking information to info@kewsan.com along with your order number.
  • Returns may take up to 20 days to process after we receive the item. Refunds cannot be issued earlier than this.

What Happens If My Return Is Rejected?

  • Returns with smells, wrinkles, damage, or missing parts will not be accepted.
  • Rejected returns can be shipped back to you, but you must cover the return shipping costs.

Norwegian Customers - VOEC Registered Purchases

  • Orders under 3,000 NOK: VAT is handled directly, with no additional customs fees. Returns are not accepted due to VAT processing complexities.
  • Orders over 3,000 NOK: Customs duties and VAT are the customer's responsibility upon the package's arrival.
