The Shamaran Collection is my tribute to the beauty, strength, and spirit of Kurdish women. Inspired by Shamaran—the legendary Kurdish queen who embodies wisdom, courage, and the sacred power of women—this collection turns pieces of our culture into timeless jewelry that can be worn with pride. Each belt, necklace, earring, and brooch carries the essence of who we are, blending tradition with modern elegance.

This journey started from something deeply personal. I wanted accessories that truly matched the soul of our Kurdish dresses—pieces that told our story. But when I looked around, I realized something was missing. We have such rich symbols, yet our jewelry often doesn’t speak our language. Our dresses already tell stories of resilience and identity; I wanted the accessories to do the same—to be more than decoration, to be a statement of pride and belonging.

That dream became the heart of the Shamaran Collection.

In Kurdish mythology, Shamaran stands for knowledge, harmony, and the unbreakable strength of women. In my designs, you’ll see these values reflected in coin-like forms: one side showing Shamaran with her serpent’s body and woman’s face, the other side depicting four mountains beneath a radiant sun. The mountains remind us of our homeland—divided by borders, yet forever connected. As Kurds, we may be scattered, but we share one soul, one culture, one heartbeat.

Every piece in this collection carries that spirit. It’s not just jewelry—it’s a symbol of identity and pride. These accessories are meant to be worn anywhere, anytime, whether with traditional dress or modern clothing. They’re quiet but powerful reminders of where we come from and who we are. Whether in Sulaymaniyah or Stockholm, Van or Vienna, Kermashan or Berlin, Kurdish women can carry a piece of their heritage close to their hearts.

My mission with Kewsan Textile and More is simple: to keep our culture alive through design. The Shamaran Collection connects generations—it honors the past while empowering the women of today. It’s proof that our culture is not frozen in history; it’s alive, evolving, and full of power.
