Peraw — A Dress With a Story

Peraw is more than a dress.
It carries memory, culture, and identity.

We discovered this design during a summer 2025 trip to India together with my sister, and we instantly fell in love. The colors reminded us of a Kurdish spring garden — green leaves, soft pink flowers, and warm golden sunlight.

We named it Peraw, inspired by Mount Peraw in Rojhilat Kurdistan.
In Kurdish culture, mountains represent protection, dignity, and endurance. The mountain is strong but calm — just like the women who wear this dress.

The soft movement, natural fabrics, and gentle elegance of the dress reminded us of that landscape. The name felt honest and meaningful.

It is heritage.

✨ Materials & Craftsmanship

• Main fabric: Hand-dyed viscose (breathable plant-based fiber)

• Embroidery: Gold sequin details with fine machine embroidery

• Kras (inner dress): Fendi shiny soft pink tone, adjustable waist

• Inner lining: Soft rayon (light and skin-friendly)

• Feel: Airy, light, and comfortable even during long celebrations

Viscose and rayon allow the body to breathe and don’t feel heavy like synthetic fabrics. The dress flows naturally when you walk, sit, or dance.

Every Peraw dress is sewn in Kurdistan by skilled Kurdish women tailors.
Each stitch is made carefully by hand, with patience and experience.

By wearing Peraw, you directly support Kurdish women artisans and help preserve a traditional Kurdish dress that deserves to live on.

🌸 How to Style

You can easily change the look of the dress depending on the occasion:

• Cream or champagne inner dress → soft bridal style

• Green inner dress → traditional festive look

• Gold inner dress → engagement or wedding guest look

🧵 Care Instructions

This dress is hand-dyed and delicate. Please treat it gently.

Do not:

• Machine wash

• Tumble dry

• Use strong dry-clean chemicals

Recommended care:

• Air the dress 24 hours after wearing

• Store in a breathable garment bag (not plastic)

• If needed: hand wash very gently in cold water

• Use mild silk/wool detergent

• Do not rub embroidery

• Dry flat (never hang when wet)

• Steam lightly from a distance instead of ironing

With proper care, the dress will stay beautiful for many years.
